Ingredients

  • 3 carrots
  • 1/2 Chinese cabbage
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 250g noodles
  • 400g fillet of beef
  • a few coriander leaves
  • a few peanuts
  • a pinch of sesame seeds
  • 1 lime
  • For the sauce:
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 green chili
  • 3 tbsp soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey

Preparation

  • Step 1Start by making the sauce. Crush the garlic cloves. Wash and deseed the 1/2 green chilli then chop very finely. In a bowl, mix together the garlic, chilli, soya sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar and honey. Stir well.
  • Step 2Peel the carrots and chop into fine sticks.
  • Step 3Wash and shred the Chinese cabbage.
  • Step 4Sauté the vegetables in a wok with a little sesame oil for a few minutes.
  • Step 5Meanwhile, bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil. Plunge the noodles into the water and leave to cook for the amount of time indicated on the packet. Drain and add to the wok.
  • Step 6Add the sauce and fry on a high heat.
  • Step 7Grill the beef then cut into fine slices.
  • Step 8Place the noodles and vegetables into bowls, add the beef. Garnish with peanuts, sesame seeds, a bit of lime juice and a few coriander leaves to taste.
